【分型名称】
【形成原因】
本证的形成原因主要有：
①感受湿热外邪　　②饮食不节　　大肠湿热证多因感受湿热外邪，或饮食不节、不洁等因素所引起。《时病论·火泻》：&热痢者，起于夏秋之交，热郁湿蒸，人感其气，内于脾胃，脾不健运，胃不消导，热夹湿食，酝酿中州，而成滞下矣。盖热痢之为病，脉滑数而有力，里急后重，烦渴引饮，喜冷畏热，小便热赤，痢下赤色，或为鱼脑，稠粘而秽者是也。&
【症候分析】
大肠湿热证
①腹痛→湿热侵袭大肠，胶结不解，壅阻气机。　　②粘冻脓血便→熏灼肠道，脉络受损，血腐为脓。　　③里急后重→热迫肠道，湿阻气机，气机壅滞。　　④便次增多，黄色稀水便→湿热侵袭大肠，津为热迫而下注。　　⑤发热口渴，小便短赤→热邪内炽，泄痢伤津。　　⑥舌红苔黄腻→湿热之症。　　⑦脉濡数或滑数→湿热之症。
【诊断要点】
①有感受湿热外邪或饮食不节之病因。　　　　②以排便次数增多，或下利粘冻，或下黄色稀水为主症。　　　　③有湿热内阻表现。
【鉴别诊断】
大肠湿热证与肠虚滑泻证的鉴别：
①两者均以排便次数增多为主要表现。　　　②大肠湿热证以排便次数增多，或下利粘冻，或下黄色稀水为主症，同时并见腹痛，里急后重，身热烦渴，小便短黄及舌红苔黄腻，脉濡数或滑数等湿热表现。　　　　③肠虚滑泻证是以利下无度，或大便失禁，甚则脱肛为主症。其因多由久泄久痢伤及脾肾，以致脾虚不运，中气下陷，命门火衰，温煦失职，肾气不固所引起，因此肠虚滑泻在病因病机上与脾肾两脏有着密切的内在联系，大肠阳气虚衰，实际上是因脾肾阳虚，尤其是命门火衰，失于温煦所致。
【治疗原则】
